Acceptance

By accessing MedigapWindow.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Informational use only — no advice relationship

All content on this site is for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, insurance brokerage advice, or any other professional advice. Use of the site does not create any professional, advisor-client, or insurance-broker-client relationship.

For your specific situation, contact your state SHIP counselor (free, federally-funded benefits counseling) or a licensed Medicare insurance broker.

Not affiliated with Medicare or any government agency

MedigapWindow.com is not affiliated with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Social Security Administration, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, or any other federal or state government agency. We are a privately operated information hub.

No warranty

We make every effort to keep the information accurate and up to date, including statute citations, primary-source URLs, and the federally-frozen Medigap plan-letter benefits matrix. CMS publishes new plan-year rating materials each October–November, and state Medigap rules update independently. Despite our best efforts, the site is provided “as is” without any warranty — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not liable for losses or damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

Federal OEP decoder accuracy

The federal Medigap Open Enrollment Period decoder is deterministic from the federal rule (per 42 U.S.C. § 1395ss). The same DOB and Part B effective date will produce the same window dates every time. The calculation runs in your browser. We are not liable for any decision made on the basis of the decoder output. For verification of your specific window dates, contact your state SHIP counselor.

Third-party content and links

We link to third-party sources including medicare.gov, cms.gov, state insurance department sites, and SHIP/SHIBA program sites. We do not control the content of those sites and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or any privacy or terms-of-use of those destinations. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

Intellectual property

All original content on this site (excluding third-party content quoted with attribution) is owned by the operator of MedigapWindow.com. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission, except for personal or non-commercial fair use with attribution.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising from your use of the site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
